It’d be nice if whoever’s organizing could publish a consistent schedule (even tentative) so District 4 folks aren’t constantly guessing. I get that things happen, but the pattern of cancellations/reschedules is what makes people tune out. I was literally updating my profile photo and messing with hairstyle ai while I waited for news—would much rather have had an actual meeting to attend.
Stuff like this is why it’s hard to keep momentum—people get one canceled meeting and then they stop trying to participate. If they can’t lock down a new date yet, even saying “we’ll update by Friday” would at least set expectations. On a random side note, I’ve been decompressing with little creative distractions (I saw an anime watercolor photo filter the other day), but I’d rather not need stress breaks just to follow local civic updates.
When a community meeting gets canceled, the information vacuum gets filled fast—half the neighborhood ends up with different stories about why. It’d help if there was a single, plain-English update that everyone can point to so it doesn’t turn into rumor-control.
