What are Projects?
Projects can consist of plans or physical construction to improve a neighborhood. Projects are inspired by and built for the community in which they are located. These projects, guided by the Memphis 3.0 Comprehensive Plan, seek to:

Above: Construction was completed at McLemore Avenue between College Street & Neptune Street. An early stage investment, improvements include street trees, lane narrowing, two mid-block crossings for pedestrians, street parking, and green infrastructure.

Guided by Memphis 3.0, Accelerate Memphis will invest $75 million in neighborhood improvements.
Implementation of public improvements identified in nine small area plans, 35 anchor sites, and three intersections.
9 locations are targeted for large scale investments of $4 million each - Highland Heights, Hollywood-Hyde Park, Klondike, Oakhaven, Orange Mound, Raleigh, Soulsville, South City, and Whitehaven. Investments include pedestrian scale street lights, new sidewalks, public promenades and plazas, and intersection improvements. The implementation projects were identified and prioritized by the community in the small area planning process.
LARGE SCALE INVESTMENTS
A mix of 35 Nurture and Accelerate Anchors identified in Memphis 3.0 are receiving $400,000 each in early stage investments. Investments include public art, new sidewalks, ADA curb ramps, and street lighting. These implementation projects signal public sector investment in these anchor areas and are intended to serve as a catalyst for additional opportunities.
EARLY STAGE INVESTMENTS
Three intersections identified in Memphis 3.0 - Frayser & Overton Crossing, Hickory Hill & Winchester, and Trinity & Germantown Parkway - are receiving critical improvements prioritizing safety. The improvements include intersection redesign, improved lighting, signal upgrades, crosswalk and sidewalk improvements, and ADA improvements.
